Welcome back to Pro-Interleague everyone!
It has been a few years since the disappearance of PRO and I for one am glad to see Jack and Company bring it back to life. Many thanks to Jesse, Simon, and others over the years for running this fun and entertaining Interleague, one of which l always looked forward every week to being a part of. The combination of both the Daily Tournaments and Weekly 5v5 Carry matches is the Ultimate mix in my opinion. Things have changed some but the frame of which PRO was built remains the same.
Some of the rules have changed, some are different from other interleagues and any new players and/or captains should deffinately review them before playing.
A few of the ones l would like to point out are as follows :
Booting Players:: Booting players from your table during a Tournament will result in a DQ, as long as the player can provide proof( cam tape or ss) and you will also be Boxed for 3 days.
Coaching:: Coaching in any way is forbidden, and can result in a DQ or the person doing the "coaching" is subject to being booted from the table.
Camtasia:: Camtasia is required in All 5v5 matches, but only optional in the Daily Tournaments. Taskbat MUST not be hidden at all, will result in a DQ. 30 minute Timer on All tapes once an Admin or TD has requested it, opponets responsibilty to notify the admin or TD, not the person sending the tape.
Eligability:: All players must have at least 30 legitimate games in the league that they wish to represent. 20 of these games must be tournament games. These requirements are still in place for players that have reset their stats or resigned up for their league.
Reporting:: Losers DO NOT report your own losses Unlike most interleagues, the Ref's will note down the winner and loser of each match and report at the end of the day.
I think l covered everything important, but be sure to check for yourself because there will be no excuses if you break them in any way, there is a Zero Tolerance rule in effect.
PreSeason Ranks and Key Players
#1 Latino Pool Legends - LPL has an always stacked lineup, in which any one player can carry versus a whole team if needed and with odds like that, they look to continue there dominance in Interleague Play. They only get stronger even more with some new additions and have a great shot at running the table in regular season play.
Key Players-
Ant( mvp.champ)
Craig(I_Am_Almost_God)
#2 Money In The Bank - Their name finally fits them well. Rich and Company have competed well, but always lacked that final push to get over the top and really compete and now with Pommy at the helm, they should do well. They have always been a very respectable league and now might prove to be a powerhouse with the new addition of some very good players, but the key here is how they will hold up all season with new management and old players getting shuffled back behind some of the better, newer players.
Key Players-
Pommy(sir_pommington)
Ben(fhm_champion)
#3 Magic Pool - MP is doing well with thier comeback and have added a few more good players to the already stacked lineup they have. They are alot like LPL in the regard that they have a few players that can carry past any other squad besides LPL and should do well this season. As long as they can keep thier star players playing every week, l see them finishing near the top.
Key Players-
Jordy( xlx_skill_xlx)
Chris( xCHRISx)
#4 Extreme Pool Competitors - This could be a very surprising team in PRO, and thats the reason for a higher preseason rank. Jack always has the benefit of some x8b players in other interleagues, but what he loses from them in PRO he gains with new additions and they look promising. The questionmark is always consistency, and being that Jack and Dan are running this thing, they will do everything they can to prove they belong and show every week.
Key Players-
Tonz(tonzmatic)
Rod(ss_alpha_rod_2008) =))
#5 Xtreme 8 Ball - Ben, James, and Corey make up a good core for this X8B team, but it's the next two spots in the lineup that concerns me. With the 3 already mentioned players, they could carry past alot of teams, but consistency is a question that needs to be addressed with this league. At this point they only have 3 players signed up..That wont work.
Key Players-
Ben(the_lvlag1cian)
Corey(----)
#6 Break and Run - This could be a very dangerous team, or it could be a #6 ranked team. They have an eskimo on thier team, one that can freeze your ability and win with ease, along with the likes of Tim, Ross and Dina. If they could get two others to play every week, theyd be alot higher, but that will not happen.
Key Players-
Luis(luisj_barreto)
Petey(ll_eskimo_ownage_ll)
#7 Pool Fiction - Kerry leads another good squad into interleagues, as always, and they will look to compete all season long, but l dont see one player among the group that really stands out. Kerry is always dangerous, and Sean can find a DQ tape win like no1 else. They lost some players, but depending on who they can bring every week, will decide where they fit in the standings.
Key Players-
Kerry( xl_bankqueen_lx)
Jeremy(pro.jeremy)
#8 True Champs - True Champs, lead by Mike and Mario will try to compete and may very well do so against most teams, but l dont see them doing well all season long and thus comes the low rank. They will be in every match til the end, but they dont have a real allstar in thier lineup and thats going to hurt in the long run.
Key Player -
Mike( tc_mike_2009)
#9 Simply Pool Souls - This squad is alot like UO, in the regard they they have alot of "newbies" that arent accustomed to interleague play, and for the better part of this season they will struggle. As the weeks go by, they will get stronger and start to compete more, but by then it will be too late and they bottom is where they will dwell.
Key Players -
Tj(d3lusi0na1eclipse)
John(Big_John_2000)
#10 Evil Poolerz - Evil Poolerz are another new league off cast-offs from a few other leagues and Rick seems to be running this one pretty well. I personally don't know any of them but they seem friendly when l have been in there playing and they look to gain some experience in thier first interleague. I'm not sure if they will compete well or not, they are new and getting used to interleague play takes time. It will be a fight all season long between them, TC, and SPS for the bottom spot.
Key Players -
Rick( BAD_73)
